The new $43M, 108,000sf Schumaker Student-Athlete Development Center provides a state-of-the-art facility for nutritional, physical, and psychological development of student-athletes at The Ohio State University. The facility includes hydrotherapy, training/taping areas, rehabilitation areas, examination rooms, offices, locker rooms, multi-purpose area, full-service kitchen and dining to accommodate all University athletes. Over 800 student-athletes lift, condition, train, and rehabilitate injuries in the complex while benefiting from nutritional and mental preparation for peak performance. Located in the heart of the Athletic District and connected to the iconic Woody Hayes Athletic Center, the facility serves as the training “hub” for 33 Olympic sport teams.
