About Us

Founded in 1945, Ruscilli has grown from a small trade contractor to one of the largest full-service construction firms in the Midwestern United States.

History

Ruscilli Construction Co., LLC originated as a specialty contractor and has since evolved into a full-service organization offering in-house preconstruction, program management, construction management, design/build, general contracting, trades contracting, and construction consultation services. This is supported with state-of-the art estimating, value engineering, scheduling and electronic systems technology.

The firm was organized in 1945 by Louis G. Ruscilli, Jr., who was shortly joined in the company by his father, Louis Ruscilli, Sr. The firm was incorporated in Ohio in 1959. L. Jack Ruscilli, the firm’s Chairman, and Robert A. Ruscilli introduced the company and its clients to the design/build concept of construction in 1967. As a result, Ruscilli has grown from a small trade contractor to one of the largest full-service construction firms in the Midwestern United States.

Today

Today, Ruscilli is a total building resource offering unparalleled service and value serving a wide variety of markets including commercial office buildings, industrial manufacturing complexes, public/private school facilities, retail space, recreation applications, and affordable, market-rate, and senior housing complexes.

Now in its 5th generation and 80th year of family leadership, the company continues to flourish under the guidance of Robert (Tony) A. Ruscilli, Jr. and Louis V. Ruscilli. Under their direction, Ruscilli continues to build upon its foundation of repeat clients with unparalleled client satisfaction.

As of 2021, Ruscilli has transitioned to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The shift to employee ownership will provide additional growth opportunities for the company and our associates, as well as position the company for continued success in the future.

ESOP – Employee Stock Ownership Plan

As a 100% employee-owned company, every associate has a personal stake in our success. This shared investment creates a powerful sense of pride, responsibility, and purpose across our entire team. With every successful project and our continued growth, our associates are building investments for their future.

Employee ownership fosters a culture where collaboration thrives, accountability is embraced, and excellence is the standard. It means our clients work directly with people who are not only experts in their field, but also owners who are deeply committed to delivering exceptional results.

Diversity Initiatives

We believe that our strength lies in the diversity of our people. Every associate and partner brings a unique perspective shaped by their individual experiences, backgrounds, and identities. We honor these differences and recognize that they are essential to driving innovation, collaboration, and excellence in everything we build.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is foundational to who we are. We are actively working to create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. Through intentional efforts and continuous learning, we are strengthening our culture to ensure that inclusion is not just a value, but a daily practice.

Student Engagement

Student Engagement

We are passionate about investing in the future of the construction industry by engaging with students at every stage of their educational journey. Through long-standing partnerships with K–12 school districts, career centers, colleges, and universities, we provide students with meaningful opportunities to explore careers in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

By offering hands-on experiences to students, we help students connect classroom learning with real-world applications. These immersive opportunities not only spark interest in construction but also lay the foundation for successful careers.

Whether through mentorship, job shadowing, or on-site project involvement, we are committed to guiding and empowering the next generation of construction professionals.
